Submissions for 2019’s Vancouver Queer Film Festival coming soon!

Calling all queer, trans, and two-spirit filmmakers! Submissions for the 31st Annual Vancouver Queer Film Festival open!

The early-bird FREE deadline is January 31st, 2019. This is your chance to screen your short or feature film at one of Canada’s most prestigious queer film festivals.

The Vancouver Queer Film Festival is the largest queer media event in Western Canada, with total attendance of over 10,000 annually.

We seek work that confronts stereotypes, pushes boundaries, provokes conversation, and above all, highlights the tremendous diversity of queer artists, locally, nationally and internationally.

The Festival presents over 75 films each year, including shorts, documentaries, fictional narratives and experimental works. We host workshops, discussions, parties and performances. Situated in one of the most spectacular cities in the world, we welcome visiting artists and industry professionals and provide great opportunities for both work and play.

Submit your film through FilmFreeway.
