Tinta Bruta (Hard Paint)
In public, androgynous and socially anxious Pedro is painfully isolated and frequently bullied. In private, Pedro becomes NeonBoy, an erotic webcam artist, adored by his online following for his vivid and charismatic performances. But Pedro’s artistic vision and livelihood are threatened when copycat artist, Boy25, launches a similar neon-paint themed webcam show. Pedro discovers Boy25 lives nearby in Porto Alegre and tracks him down. Their strained first meeting quickly reveals a shared longing for intimacy, and these would-be competitors become collaborators and lovers.
The expressive characters and emotionally-present sex scenes are the result of a seven-month rehearsal period prior to filming. Tinta Bruta won the Teddy Best Feature at the Berlin International Film Festival and the Maguey Best Feature at the Guadalajara International Film Festival.
This film is unrated and shown in Portuguese with English subtitles.
