Malaysian-born writer and director Yen Tan premiered the critically-acclaimed Pit Stop at Sundance 2013. It was a John Cassavetes Award nominee at the 2014 Film Independent Spirit Awards. His previous feature, Ciao (2008), was released theatrically and was a Queer Lion contender at Venice Film Festival. Yen premiered 1985 at SXSW 2018; the feature is inspired by his Short of the Week and Vimeo Staff Pick of the same name. He’s also a sought-after graphic designer under the moniker of Otto is the One, where he’s known for his iconic key art and branding of several prominent independent films and documentaries.
