How Super Passes Work

  1. Passholders must collect a screening slip before each screening to gain admission (slips are available 30-45 minutes before each screening at the film’s Passholder Table).
  2. A generous allotment of tickets is reserved for Passholders; however, seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  3. Passes are non-transferable. ID is required.

To see any films presented at the VQFF, you must become a member of The Vancouver Out On Screen Film and Video Society (Out On Screen). The Festival presents films in compliance with the Motion Picture Act and Consumer Protection BC. Also, your membership demonstrates support of our mission to illuminate, celebrate and advance queer lives through film, education and dialogue.

Membership Perks

  • Show your 2017 membership for entry to select post-film parties (19+ only)!
  • Enter for a chance to a pair of Scotiabank Super Passes for 2018’s 30th Anniversary Vancouver Queer Film Festival

How to buy

Your membership may be purchased online or at the Membership Table prior to your first screening. Photo ID required.

Revenue generated by memberships supports the Vancouver Queer Film Festival and Out in Schools. By purchasing a membership, you’re making an investment in Out On Screen, and in our communities.

Remember: you must show your membership card at every screening. If you lose or forget your card, you’ll need to purchase a new one.

Service Charges & Taxes

Any third-party ticketing fees will be added to your order total. We try and ensure that fees are kept to a minimum.  All prices include GST and credit card merchant fees.

Will Call

Online orders available for pick-up at the venue for your first screening. Bring your ID and arrive 30-45 minutes before the screening time.

Electronic tickets: Skip the Will Call line and get your tickets delivered to your mobile device or print your tickets from home.

Refund & Exchanges

Sorry, but we do not offer refunds or exchanges unless a screening is cancelled due to technical problems.

Watch Two Screenings in a Row

Relax, get comfy and socialize. If you have your ticket to the next screening, wait for us to verify your ticket or screening slip and take time to make new friends, visit the concession stand or take a quick nap. Note: in rare circumstances we may need to do some on-screen tests and will need you to temporarily leave the auditorium.

‘Sold Out’ Shows + Hope Line (Rush tickets)

Don’t despair! Odds are, we’ll still have a few tickets to sell just before show time. Join the Hope Line and we hope you’ll be in luck. Generally only 20% of our screenings sell out completely.

Ticketing Updates & Schedule Changes

Latest screening changes and ticketing news are regularly added on our website, through Twitter and Facebook.
